Conflicting views

Thanks for all the replies, will keep for reference.

Looks like usenet death of this group has already started for me, as I
cannot see my original post or replies at all in here.
I only found the post and replies after using google-groups; never had
this problem before.
(Will post this here as its obvious others can see my post.)

Update.!
It is now 6 hours since I had posted the above, and low n' behold, I can
see it, and am replying to myself right now.
Cant understand why I couldnt see the original, plus replies.

Some MS personage may have been doing maintenance somewhere in
cyberspace. That can take 6 hours. But my response to thanatoid, above,
took only minutes to get here. But it makes no sense to investigate
further under the circumstances. Let us know what you've decided about
SYS. Are you gonna do it or not?

Looks like they want us to surrender our principles & adopt latter-day
OS's. That is why they won't keep the old newsgroups!
