Default RDRAM

Can anyone tell me what sets the bus speed for RDRAM? I have looked in the
BIOS setup and can find nothing. What I want to know is if I install new
memory rated for a higher speed with the machine run at the speed of my old
stuff like SDRAM? If I install the mem by itself will the system step up to
the faster speed. I want to run at the faster speed as is an increase of
33%

The RAM speed is usually either fixed or set in the BIOS as a multiple
of front-bus speed, read your motherboard manual to determine which.
