I have an old box that I run Win98 on. I had to reload the OS (a regular
task with Windows98 lol), and when I went to the windows update site, I got
"This website is designed to work with Microsoft Windows operating systems
only.:". Is MS no longer allowing win98 to be updated via windows update?

Thanks for the info. I did keep trying and eventually it went through. Is
this something intentional MS is doing to help wean people off of Win98? My
Win2000/XP/2003 boxes get through on the first attempt, but my Win98 boxes
fail on most attempts. Simply refreshing the browser eventually lets it
through.

I doubt it--I think something just got screwed up on their server. MS is
aware of the problem but whether or not it will be fixed (considering no W98
support) is not known.
