Folders don't open w/Left Click

If I try to open a folder in Windows Explorer or My Computer with a left
click on my ME machine, I get the 'Open With' dialog ("Click the Program
you want to use to Open XXX").

If I right click, Open is listed twice at the top of the Context Menu.
The upper open command is in bold. If I left click it, I get the Open
With dialog.

The second open command is not in bold and is just below the bold one.
If I left click it, the folder opens normally. Also if I right click a
folder and select explore it works correctly.

I remember seeing a fix for this some time back but can't remember what
it was.

I have EXACTLY the same problem. I deleted a rar extracting program which got
rid of the "open with" command from the list. Followed instructions to get it
back now i have 2 open commands - one which opens normally and the other acts
like the "open with" command but I havent been able to find anything on it.
