Default What should have an X in Zone Alarm?

Under program control in Zone Alarm- there is a column for access and one
for server.
Under Server should ALL the programs shown have a green check mark? I
have some with a red X, some with a blue question mark and some with a green
check mark.
Some such as Internet Explorer, Microsoft update, have a blue question
mark, but I still have no problems using them.
Still cannot solve my problem with e-mails.

-- Why is it that some of my e-mails come with the text and pictures and
others
with just a red x where the picture (gif) should be?
Also....I have sent on an email where the picture is there as I received
it and all looked great, but when the other person receives the e-mail there
is no picture - just the red x. I have researched on the computer and
cannot find anywhere that gives an explanation for this. I am running ME.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Cindy.......first of all, go to Help in the top right hand corner of Zone
Alarm and learn about the program.

The only two programs that have server rights on my computer are ones that
require it.....so make sure all of yours have NO server rights unless
needed. I believe if you have MSN chat, for instance....you need to give it
server rights. I have ICQ and that is one I allow.

I looked for an explanation of your red X's.....and didn't find much of an
answer.....it is probably all to do with your security settings, plus HTML.
It happens to me sometimes to, but it is usually the person sending me the
email that has to correct the problem on their end. Perhaps you should go
to the Outlook Express news group and ask there.
