Doesn't Foxit include a plugin for all of the major browsers?

I honestly don't know, but I will look into it. I get tired of all of
the junk that will land on my computer with updates.....gave Yahoo hell
cuz there was NO box to uncheck to prevent their toolbar (with the latest
Sun Java update). Upshot....I have the Java update and deleted the
toolbar.

OK, checked out Firefox Addons and there is Adobe, but no Foxit. Not
about to use Adobe even as a plugin.

(resent 'cos the first attempt got eaten by MS's 'wonderful Community
Features'!!)
The Firefox addin for Foxit is downloadable from Foxit once you have it
installed (via the included updater)

OT.....I have used MusicMatch to play my mp3's for eons......it is no
longer in existance and Yahoo bought it and then dumped their version
of it.

Any suggestions for a music player that is as good as MM?? If not, I
will stay with it. I hear Real Player is becoming a bit of a PITA.

Ask and ye shall be given:

http://reviews.cnet.com/music-servic...1219285-2.html

Saint Nicklaus.

Thanks.....I think that was near the top in my mind, but having used MM
for so many years, I didn't know what was best these days. I may still
stick to MM, but wanted to have a backup. I am not a fan of WMP11, but
I tolerate it.

The nice thing about MM is that it rips my CD's......if and when I want
to do that. I usually just download mp3's. Really OLD ones.......about
your age, Har Har. Can't find that 50's music all that easily anymore,
but just d/l one by Patti Labelle. I even have Edith Piaf's songs on
here and I bet none of these younger lads know her (Mikey will correct
me on that statement, lol).

Cheers....Heather

Supposed to be 'the best', but, how would I know!
I am a music lover besides , but bound by time (yeah, yeah), to prevent
downloading.

In those days they understood 'music', nowadays they confuse it with
'noise'.
PBS should be able to help you out here.

I looked at that, but I think my version is one number too
old......(story of my life, lol). I shall have another look.

MusicMatch is an excellent mp3 player/writer/ripper and so on. I
probably will stay with that. I did download RealPlayer a long time
ago, but my witch's antennae told me to uninstall it......so I did.
(smack for what you are thinking, lol)

Hi All,

Thank you very much for all of your message.

I had to update Adobe reader 6.06. However, it doesn't solve the problem.

Then I try to install Foxit reader 3.0 instead. It solves the problem about
open the embedded object .

Thanks a lot for your help!!!

| OK - just d/l'd and installed Foxit 3.0
| If you don't let it install the Ask Toolbar, then it won't let you use
| @typewriter tools, Text viewer, and Text Converter@ - whatever they
are.
| Since I've never heard of them until now, and can't see what earthly
use
| they'd be to me for reading PDF files, then I don't care about about
not
| having them.
| For god's sake, David - it's not as if Foxit is disabling the ability
to
| read PDF files!!!!
| What I do mind more is that they try and sneak a quick install of eBay
links
| after you've already dis/allowed the Ask ones.

The Typewriter tool allows you to literally type into fields.

This if you have a non-editable PDF form you can use the Typewriter Tool
to place your
text in the desired fields.

{ I personally would try to use Acrobat and LifeCycle Designer to make
the
form editable
such that the form and data can be saved with Adobe Reader }.

| Since there are very few instances where I can think I'd need that
facility,
| then I can do without it - and people who create forms shouldn't be
using
| non-editable formats for them!

Noel, that's great for you.

However I can find hundereds of non-fillable PDF forms on the web where
the Typewriter
tool fills the niche very well.

As for me, I work with PDF all the time. I do all our office forms in
Adobe. I even scan
forms into PDF format and then use LifeCycle Designer to make them
editable forms.

Back to the point of this...

The latest distribution of FoxIt has gone adware. They want to bundle Ask
Toolbar and
will cripple FoxIt if you don't install it. That's the point.

I will note that you can install FoxIt and the Ask Tolbar and then disable
and remove the
Ask Bar BHO and have a full functioning FoxIt Reader.

Perhaps a simple 'uninstall and re-install' of Adobe Reader might well have
fixed the problem. This often 'fixes' corrupted registry issues.

However, you're probably far better off using Foxit anyway g and good to
hear you've resolved the problem.
