Lost connectivity going from hubs to switches
I am trying to go from OfficeConnect hubs to Netgear
switches. When doing so, I can access the network with some of the PCs but not others. I have tried setting everything to 10 mbps/ half duplex, but to no avail. |

Rebooting the switches hasn't helped. The status lights
on the switch(s) are solid green or they flicker together. Thanks for the help. -----Original Message----- Karen wrote: I am trying to go from OfficeConnect hubs to Netgear switches. Did you use a crossover cable?

yes/no, the switches are supposed to correct for the type
of cable. -----Original Message----- Did you use a crossover cable? "Karen" wrote in message ... I am trying to go from OfficeConnect hubs to Netgear switches. In that case you have basic connectivity, so additional details about what exactly you mean when you say you can't "access the network" are in order. Precisely what error messages are you getting? Can you ping to/from the problem machines? Have you reviewed the information presented by winipcfg (especially on the problem machines) to make sure all IP addresses and netmasks are appropriate? Thanks for the help. -----Original Message----- Karen wrote: I am trying to go from OfficeConnect hubs to Netgear switches. When I move over to the new hub, I can't log onto our SBS
2003 network. So, I ran winipcfg. The initial info was correct, so I released and renewed and got the following error "DHCP Server Unavailable: Renewing Adapter". At that point all of the info is zeroed out except the DHCP server which is 255.255.255.255. Thanks for your help. -----Original Message----- Karen wrote: Rebooting the switches hasn't helped.
