Thank you Gary,
I tried the TZeditor on win98se with 2k and all critical updates; it is a no go. The application will not open in edit. The Microsoft kb? for win98 and download which TZeditor to make the appropriate changes? Sorry to have to write to you this way, I keep lossing the conversation in that thread and am running out of time to search it. tia-maria |

My app has nothing to do with TZEdit. You simply run my app and follow the
instructions for finishing the change by changing the time zone and then changing it back. Note, there is a new version up that works much more simply, now. It's a self-executing ZIP file (EXE file.) Try it again, read the instructions. Part of the problem is when you asked about my app, other people started talking about entirely different solutions having nothing to do with my app. Once you've run my new EXE file, there's nothing more to do except those follow-up steps of changing the time zone and then changing it back. It's all in my instructions. http://grystmill.com/articles/tz_update.htm But wait until tomorrow morning. Brian A. has suggested a solution to a minor annoyance that occurs in some cases (need to close things manually.) I want to incorporate those changes before I recommend any further downloads. Brian says the fixes work, and I have to trust him for a few days anyway, since I have no way to test them myself. Lastly, you' might find it more advantageous to attend the win98.general_discussion group than this one. Lots more discussion going on over there. -- Gary S. Will this merge also change other DSTs in other countries that some of us
might not check manuelly, but may need down the road? "Gary S. Terhune" wrote in message ... The updated EXE file have been uploaded. You can try them, now. -- Gary S. Yes, but some are set to change again next year, and the year after, and
after, etc. Not always the same ones, but every year there's changes. I'll try to keep up, but....how long I can manage it is the question. I'll try to make it a New Year's tradition. -- Gary S. I finally found an editor that will work on win98. So I will be able to make
those changes if needed. I also marked your website for future reference on this topic. Thanks again! http://www.softshape.com/cham/manual/tzedit.htm "Gary S. Terhune" wrote in message ...
