ME Video Cards
I am upgrading the video card on an older 750mhz Compaq
5000us pc that is running Windows ME. A label on the front of the workstation says that it is has an AGP slot that will accept 2x or 4x cards. It came with a 8mb nvidia card. As I was researching video cards I noticed that only a few list Windows Me under OS requirements and the interface on many is 4x and some are 2x and 4x. I had decided on a 64mb card. What is the proper type to upgrade to? |

What is the proper type to upgrade to?
Whatever is appropriate for your computer's motherboard. Most if not all recent video cards will have drivers for systems running Win Me. -- Mike Maltby MS-MVP Dadster wrote: I am upgrading the video card on an older 750mhz Compaq 5000us pc that is running Windows ME. Sounds like you're confusing the AGP speed of 2x, 4x, 8x with the amount of
memory on the card. The more memory the better but the AGP speed is restricted by the motherboard's capabilities. "Dadster" wrote in message ...
