Default page cannot be displayed - not AOL user

when i get connected to the net, i can't get to any web pages using internet explorer or other browser as well.

tried ping 127.0.0.1 - sucessfully, and i'm not AOL user.

happened after i got mad at some adware and went to modify my registry.

pls help...

So do a system restore to right before you messed with your registry.

uh... restoration failed. guess i'm pretty messed up now.

i even use a couple of registry program, like registry clean up and registry healer.

ahhh.. what have i done...

ops ... actually i can get the webpages by ip address, not by names.

how could this happened? winsock error?

help me pls

ay! yay! yay! nevermind, got it fixed already......

thanks to Microsoft Knowledge Base Article - 274498

"The Page Cannot Be Displayed" Error Messages After You Upgrade to Windows Millennium Edition.

Funny i didn't upgrade .... but as long as it works who cares.
