Nah!! You are not in trouble.......that was too funny!!

And it is way better here in ME than on those XP ng's. A few snarkies on
there. So perhaps I will ask my "upgrading to XP from ME" questions on
here, lol.

As in.....what size to make System Restore? I have restore points from the
day I bought this.....Sept. 12th, 2005. It has a 120 gig HD andd the
setting is at 12%. Guess I could reduce that.

Cheers...Heather

Sorry about that, Mart. But there was no way I was going to allow the Idiot
to start his BS in this ng, so had to get rather nasty with him. He doesn't
understand anything else.

I did notice a distinct reticence to post from y'all....which was a good
thing. He craves an audience. We ignore him most of the time in ACV as
well.

As for our Loon....I should have saved all of his taglines and written a
book, lol. Guess we couldn't call it "Looney Toons" though. (G)

Figgs, I go for approx. 500MB in both OS's. Although they're on the same
drive, they have different volume sizes, so the percentage figure is
different depending on ME or XP. But I say, first turn monitoring off on
drives other than you installed XP to (presumably C then reduce the size
of that one to below 500MB, then move it back to one notch above (assuming
you son't get 500 exactly!).

Basically I think you can have the approx. 200MB setting and rely on
yourself to remember to raise it prior to big installations, or just set it
at c. 500MB and forget about it.

Default Windows is so configurable!

How did Willy configure the system? - with one massive C: drive, or more
sensibly with a small C: partition, and one or two data/program drives
(send me a Belarc?)

There's no way that SR should be configured with 12% of any partition
(unless the partition is less than 10GB).....
