rerun the scan, tell it to delete the files...they are the
trojans.........do you have any other AV scanners, like Norton, etc ?
Sometimes there is more cleaning that needs to be done, and the major makers
websites will provide details.

.
I don't have another AV scanner - I've tried everything

to get rid of these & at my wits end - I've even gone to
Trend Micro system cleaner - there must be a virus removal
tool & can download

Perhaps they were never activated.
Look for the file names and do a Find for them.
Delete them.
Sometimes you get a message that 'it cannot be fixed' because it was never
activated because your anti-virus found it early.
Isn't there an option in AVG to delete those files?

Try scanning in Safe mode(tap the F8 key during bootup).

But first (1) update definitions and (2) enable Show Hidden Files. See

This is getting creepy! I entered your trojan into google
and used a paid ad from the right pane to scan my computer.
It came up with Backdoor.Carbo which I couldn't find
information about and Win32,MimailC which apparently grisoft
has a remover for, but I have to do it in DOS.

Win32/Dupator

It is neccessary to heal this virus in DOS mode, as this
virus is active in Windows mode and some infected files are
being used and access to these files is denied. Also, in
Windows mode, healed files could be re-infected again. To
successfully heal all infected files, please download our
rmdptor.exe removal utility and run this utility in DOS
mode. Default path set in this file is to scan C: drive. If
you want to change this value, run the utility as:
rmdptor.exe drive letter:\

Gary, PCR... anybody? I have no idea how to do that! Is
tapping the F8 key supposed to do get me to DOS? My
computer told me I had a stuck key yesterday when I tried to
find Safe Mode.

TIA

Hi,
F8 brings up the Startup Menu, from there you can select command prompt,
safe mode, normal Windows, and the likes.

Sometimes it is best to repeatedly tap F8 at boot; alternately, go to
startrun; enter msconfig and click ok.

On the general tab, click the advanced button, then place a check next
to "Enable Startup Menu". The menu will now come up every time you boot;
of course, you can go back and undo it anytime.

Select "command prompt" from the Startup Menu to "run your utility in
DOS mode".

Have you asked here?
http://www.faqfarm.com/Computer/Virus/Downloader/

I used google to find out more about Trojan Horse
Downloader... and found a free trojan removal tool.
Maybe this will help you.
http://www.simplysup.com/tremover/download.html

I also found an online scanner that is supposed to do the
trick. http://www.trojanscan.com
TrojanScan can only run if you are using Internet Explorer
5.0 or later as your browser.

I'm running it right now to see what it finds.
