Dialup + Cablemodem
I just installed a Cable modem and now get this network logon prompt
everytime I start my machine. I've been using Dialup over 10 years and never changed anything. I've always set the system "all users use the same account", no passwords set for windows or networking. Yet, when I installed this new Cable modem I get the network prompt and a shortcut on my desktop for Network Neighborhoods. If I hit cancel my dialup shortcuts no longer have a password, and My Internet explorer loses all of the visited sites, etc. Like I'm another user with no permissions Can someone tell me whats going on and how to stop this? I don't have the actual Cable service going yet, So I have to keep the dialup adapters for now. I don't see why having 2 different adapters should cause this network prompt. Thanks |
