Does anyone know how to 'insert' a picture or gif or whatever, into a

Currently I can attach only, is this the only feature along these lines
that Gmail offers.?
Asking Gmail for assist is impossible, they seem to refuse a direct
email link.
Even O/E has this feature, as standard, and has been for as long as I
can remember.. (I dont use O/E, but rather T/Bird, but thats not the point.)

Set up a Gmail POP account. Then you can use your preferred email
client and avoid Gmail's web interface altogether. That's what I do. I
also have a free POP-able Yahoo account.

Hi Franc,, thanks for input.

I am following Mebs link at the moment and hopefully that will yield a
good result.
As I mentioned to others in this thread, I am concerned about my email
addy being exposed, and hence I use Gmail 50% of the time.

Hello Don,

Privacy is the answer, I guess.

I use Gmail when I want to keep my personal email private.
Havent looked into setting up with T/bird, although I do know it is
possible, the reason being is I guess I just figured it would expose
my real email, something I dont want to do on the internet. Spam too.

One would suppose that your ISP offers you more than one mailbox (email
account)? If so, make one and use it whenever you have privacy
concerns...nothing says you ever have to read or download anything that
comes to it.

Hi Meb,,

It works just fine, got some other stuff while I was there too.

Thanks.
(at least this is a bit more light-hearted than all the other things
that are going on.)

Set up a Gmail POP account. Then you can use your preferred email
client and avoid Gmail's web interface altogether. That's what I do. I
also have a free POP-able Yahoo account.

I'd recommend the IMAP Google connection offered. Saves having to log
into Google all the time to clear SPAM and deleted messages from the
GMAIL/ALL MAIL directory, PLUS allows creation of new local and online
saved mail directories or deleting old ones.

Thanks for that. I'd always thought about trying IMAP but never
bothered.
