Default Process Explorer for Win98?

Look for something called cctask.exe.

I did not find a copy

Go ahead and send it to me

Here's a link you can get it:

http://www.fileden.com/files/2008/7/...382/cctask.zip

It will ask for password to unzip it. Password is "a" (no quotes).

It will unzip to a file named "cctask.123". Just rename it to
cctask.exe and you're done.

Thank you. downloaded, fast, very small and runs faster than the
built-in system monitor program.

Based upon a recommendation, I downloaded procesp.exe and tried
running it.

I know others have posted answers for ProcEx, but as another has said,
WinTop is certainly worth trying, too.

I downloaded it to find out what's causing the hang in Opera 9.65
whenever I go to a .pdf website

Bits transfer until apparently done [still displaying a blank screen]
then nothing happens. Sometimes can't even close Opera, and often
little images get left all over the top of everything and sometimes so

I've encountered this - even on XP and with Firefox (though I _think_
less often than with Netscape). There seems to be something about some
web-served PDF files (I think it must be the files, but it could be the
browser/reader combination) that causes the file to download, but the
reader plugin not to open, or to open and run really sluggishly. I've
generally found (using XP's Task Manager) that what's causing the
problem, or at least closing it makes the problem go away and the
computer return from its sluggishness, is Adobe's reader: it appears in
Task Manager as AcroRead, or something like that. Irritating, as I have
and much prefer the Foxit reader; however, and this _is_ just sometimes,
when I load some web-sourced PDF files, the system used the Adobe
reader, and that is when the computer (especially the browser) slows and
doesn't display other than a blank page.

If you have the opportunity to remove all traces (including browser
plugins) of the Adobe reader, using only the Foxit one, I'd try it. (I
can't as it's a works PC on which I get that problem; I rarely look at
web-sourced PDFs from this PC.)
