Default VPN adaptor

I am trying to set up a hardware VPN server to permit PPTP access from a Win
98 machine (and a Win 95 one also if possible). I have set it up to work
with XP using PAP authentication and no data encryption.

But the Win98 VPN adaptor (client) has no user-configurable parameters so I
must set the server up to match it but do not know what it will accept. I
have tried CHAP and MSCHAP with MRRE encryption but neither seem to work.
Can you help plse?

TIA
Chris
