PCX Thumbnails in Explorer 98SE
I do not seem to be able to get PCX images to display as thumbnails in
Explorer 98SE. I have tried the usual dodge, where thumbnails have mysteriously disappeared, of amending the registry entry by copying down the relevant bits from a .bmp image down to a PCX but this has not worked. Can anyone throw some light on this, please? |

PCX Thumbnails in Explorer 98SE
Thanks for everything. It worked a treat! Problem was in the default value in
the registry entry. I copied and pasted your value into my registry and there the images were in all their glory. I have stored this gem in a safe place against future catastrophes. Yes I did have Thumbnails switched on, but in Thumbnail View only got the an Icon, not the image itself. Thanks too for the links. I'll be looking further into those. You are welcome. Glad to hear it. You were right, then, to suspect a
Registry entry in the first place, though apparently a blanket copy of the .bmp data wasn't the cure. They are all a little different. I suppose that .pcx one is also inside Aumha's Thumnail.zip of a dozen or so. -- Thanks or Good Luck, There may be humor in this post, and, Naturally, you will not sue, should things get worse after this, PCR "John Mole" wrote in message ... | Thanks for everything.
