Default A Drive runs when "Print" Selected

For quite some time now, couple years at least, when "Print" is selected our
A drive (3-1/2" floppy) runs as if it is searching for something to print. It
doesn't run continuously, just about a second. It doesn't appear to effect
how the system performs but it is annoying. For another reason, several
months ago we uninstalled then reinstalled our printer driver and AutoCAD has
been uninstalled and reinstalled a few times. This didn't seem to effect our
A drive running at "Print" in any way. However, lately, someone wondered if
this is a symptom of something more serious. This was first noticed only when
"Print" was selected in AutoCAD, but recently it's been noticed in Outlook
Express. It's been an ongoing situ for so long that it's always noticed but
not paid any attention so a complete listing of which programs it runs in and
which it avoids is not completly known yet. We are running a Dell 333, an HP
1120C inkjet, and Winows 98SE. All ideas, comments, and suggestions will be
greatly appreciated. Thanks, K.
