Windows reads UDF DVD as CDFS

I posted last month about a problem I was having with my DVD-ROM drive =
Pioneer DVD-113 v 1.21 reading a DVD disc:


In the meantime, I've spent a good deal of time trying to figure out =
whether this is indeed a hardware issue, and I found out that it is not. =
I tried several DVDs on this drive, and they all read and played fine. =
It's just this one DVD I'm having trouble with - "Table Tennis 101". I =
tried the device on a Windows XP machine, where I was able to play the =
DVD fine. When I insert the disc into my drive, it reads as Audio CD, =
size 1.99 GB, with one file (track01.cda). When looking at Properties, =
the file system is identified as CDFS. I believe this is the core of the =
problem - the disc in DVD-video format, and should read as UDF. It did =
read as UDF on Windows XP! And all the other DVDs I've tried on this =
machine (Windows 98) also read as UDF! Thus, Windows tried to read this =
one particular as CDFS for some reason. Why could this possibly be, and =
is there any way to force Windows to read it as UDF?

I've done a lot of searching on Google, but have not been able to find =
anything that would help me solve the issue. I would really appreciate =
any suggestions. It's quite a puzzle to me.

Your disc is DVD-R
I think you tried to burn it as multisession.
or you tried to add some more stuff to a previous one
on the disk.
In Win98 and WinMe only "One Burn" in one go
is allowed on DVD disc.
If you use DVD-RW that may work, still not sure.

Hmm, so you think it's a DVD-R disc. I have my doubts about that - this =
is a disc I borrowed from a friend, but it comes in the original DVD =
case, and you can even see the title of the disc inscribed on the disc =
itself near the hole in the middle. I would think this is the original =
disc, and nod a DVD-R. I have not been trying to burn anything, since I =
don't even have a DVD burner. Is there a way to verify whether this is a =
DVD-R disc? (I presume there is some utility that would do this?)
