Partial sound

Under W98 SE, some sounds play, others don't. For instance, the Robotz sounds
play, but the Musica sounds don't. Other sounds in Sounds Properties either
play or not. For instance, Start Navigation plays, but not Empty Recycle Bin.
Also, Media Player 9 sometimes plays, sometimes doesn't.

I am not familiar with Robotz or Musica--do they use the same type of sound
file extensions (i.e., .wav)?
For the Recycle Bin, have you tried using a different sound file (i.e.,
Navigation) that you know works?
