Distorted audio when playing DVDs in W98
Hi
I only have on DVD, which plays fine on my husband's PC, running XP. However, on my W98 PC, even with a 2600+ Athlon processor and 256M of RAM, distorts the sound terribly - it sounds as though it is not reading it fast enough. I am pretty sure it is not the DVD-ROM player, which is a Plextor 1210, as I used that on my XP machine with no problems. I have tried several DVD software packages, including PowerDVD, WinDVD and Nero Showtime, and all have the same distortion problem. The DVD concerned is "Standards" by Keith Jarrett. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Regards Ruth |
