20205-OEM-0072516-59896 hp motherboard. mat.no:109931 cognac 19990723

useing driver recomended from intel.

problem and info.:

windows 98 gives error message
"via ac 97audio chipset is not found on this system."however i have ID on
chip #:4299JQ and power amp:TDA1517P.as well audio in,out and mic all
incorperated on hp motherboard useing intel 82810 and 82801 chipset.
system will ID"PCI Audio management device" driver on startup.I have no
driver in device manager and AC 97 is Enabled in system config. .
I don't have windows 98 cdrom os disk including ac97 driver.
How do I fix my sound????

reply to no audio hp drivers on disc operarting system disc my stiution is
like yours in my case compaq needed drivers and a emergancy recoveray disc
reloaded memory and parts were ok printer driver was separate disc new 300
class computers of wally world no fopply 3in the drivers no fancy keyboard
for 300hundreddollars so i guess your point thier strpin it and chepin it up
and to get a hp driver for thier computer its not easy my guess is you reload
try www1.hp.com my guess it may be its nature and easyer to try to
pdf s adobe
and easy for one get it in the3 in floppy format i took bad hit my self cdn
browesr hijack by comcast its very bad case well my experince have the
drivers extra ready to go my hp was these three computers laptop compaq hp
kinda like a hp6355 tower and a gateway xp machine my guess someelse was to
do a start disc and didnt tell about it and cant down load it i got some
tech books and you run the drivers from books write them and report see what
they say back to us all here hewlett-packard disk memory division 1311
