Report on Vista.
I am quickly comeing to a possible dicission to expell Vista.
I built this system (from scratch) with Vista use as the main goal. Reserched each component to be sure it would work with Vista. If in doubt? I selected the most recent model. As I said in an earlier post. Vista installed without a problem. I downloaded all the Vista updates like a good little MS customer. And each day it degrades. It seems like at each daily boot it degrades. Games that worked great,at first install, are 2-D now. It's like playing on an old "Atari". I have done "NOTHING!" to the system. Except download "Windows Updates" I should have listened to a PC Geek that said if I didn't need to upgrade to Vista?...DON'T! Come to find out (from him) that if I change something like a video card or modem that I would need to call MS and get a new authorization. That Vista original registration is only good for the original PC composition that it was installed on. This keeps people from ,maybe, trying to install it on more then one PC. This is just my experience with it and what I did to get here. I guess the only thing I can say is...If you don't need it? Don't get it. And...Did I mention? I Hate XP. And the Vista newsgroup people only come up with vague suggestions. Plus there is about a thousand posts to it each day. Next I will try a Linux OS. I hate XP. |

If you use Vista, you should only drink imported wines and beers.
Otherwise, it will display all the problems you are having. "poatt" wrote in message ... I am quickly comeing to a possible dicission to expell Vista. Well right at this moment I am stuck with XP and it's irradiation. Until I
can get rid of some kind of branding on the HD by Vista. Was wondering thow...will Win98SE work on a "Raid" HD? I have XP reinstalled ok. Deleteing Vista crashed XP also. And for some reason nothing will let me format the drives back to Fat32. Even though they were that before Vista install. Oh... by the way,
After the Vista fiasco and the reinstall of XP. XP seems to have settled down. It's even playing the old 95 and 98 games without having to go through a dance of compatability issues. It's actually running like 98. Maybe Vista is really the fix for XP. Actually I see nothing wrong with someone checking out a new avenue.
Even though I would not follow up on hack information. I still like to be informed. You have to watch out for "PCR". PCR has a book of hexes. And if you say something wrong here? You may get one of those hexes chanted against you. And believe me they work. I now have an "Anti-hex" amulet I where around my neck when I'm here just for that reason. It's a chicken foot with a petrified rat's tail and a piece of parsley tied to it. So far it is working. But it won't protect you from irradiation.
