Default FIREWIRE 6-4 PIN CABLE & PCI Firewire Card

I purchased a 1.8M IEEE 1394 FIREWIRE 6-4 PIN CABLE NR
CA007' to connect my JVC mini dv camcorder with my
pentium 2.I need a PCI Firewire Card as well. oper.system
on my computer in wind.98, and i also have cd burner.
after installing card will i be able to play movie clip
from my mini DV camcorder on computer monitor and copy it
in my CD RW. thanks in advance
