Default help

i keep gettin an error saying "volume removed had open
files on it" and then i have to close all programs running
and then restart,also a fatal exception occurs
(015F:BFF9DBA7)can anyone help!

If you have a Promise controller card or Promise onboard controllers for your IDE
drives, take a look at:
http://www.softsynth.com/jsyn/suppor...ved_error.html for an explanation of the
problem.

Go to http://www.promise.com/ or http://support.promise.com/ and get the latest
updated driver for the Promise controller you have. I am currently unable to
connect to either site, so keep trying.

In the meantime, I'm told that a quick fix is to remove Stimon.exe from the startup
items in MSconfig. It's used when working with images from scanners etc. If you're
not importing images all the time you don't need it running. You can place a
shortcut to it on the desktop or start menu, and if you want to use a scanner simply
click the shortcut first.
