You have suffred a hard disk drive failure of some sort. It may be trivial,
such as a dislodged cable, or it may be more serious. It is very important that you do not attempt to write anything to the disk drive while it is in this state, as this will make recovery of data much more difficult. Check the simple things like BIOS setup (is the drive properly recognised?) and that the cables are firmly connected, power is OK, etc. Then visit the www site of your disk drive manufacturer and download the disk drive diagnostic software. This wil help you to pinpoint where the failure has occurred, and what the most apropriate recovery procedure is. -- Jeff Richards MS MVP (DTS) "june" wrote in message ... i not sure how i did this but plaese help i tried rebooting and hit f8 when the windows 98 screen comes up and nothing happens HELP!!! |
