I'm not sure why you have to do it from DOS. Is Win98 not runable anymore
at all?

I take it you have the Win98 disk, right? There should be a "setup.exe"
file on it. Go to File, Run, find the file and execute it.

If not, you can try booting up with the Win98 disk in the drive.

If it is an 'upgrade' Win98 disk...it will want to look for previous
versions of operating systems on your computer. If it cannot find
one....you can put the first DOS disk into the small 3-1/2 drive and that
should satify it enough to run and start the install.

Also, by 'stuffed' do you mean you are out of hard-drive space? I'm not
sure if I understand what you mean.)

If so, just dlete some stuff you don't need. Be careful not to delete
anything vital to the system.

For information on installing W98, go to:
http://home.satx.rr.com/badour/html/w98_restore.html There is not
necessarily a need to delete win.com--if you do:
http://home.satx.rr.com/badour/html/w98_restore.html. You can either format
the C: drive (all data lost), delete the Windows folder from DOS or install
to a new folder--all three methods give you a clean installation.
