Can''t start apps...Lost file setdbg.exe

Hi,

Hope someone can help with this one.

I ran Norton Antivirus 2000 on a w98 machine that i inherited. After I
updated the virus defs for the first time in 9 months, antivirus found a
virus (trojan?) in setdbg.exe. I asked it to repair the problem but it
couldn't. Then I told it to delete the file. That was apparently my big
mistake!

Now, whenever I try to bring up an application it says "Program Not Found "
dialog box appears, seeking setdbg.exe. I searched and searched and found it
in c:\Windows, but when I pointed the dialog box at that directory it still
hasn't found it.

Any thoughts on how to recover from this problem or to obtain a viable copy
of this file that I can put on this machine?

You don't want another copy as it was supplied by a virus.

If you mean you cannot run any .exe files this Swen fix will correct
that.
