Default Explorer is Eating Up the CPU - Thread "OLEChannelWnd"

Just had to do a reinstall of Win98 after my daughter destroyed it with
multiple layers of spyware and scumware which I couldn't remove. The
reinstall went fine, however, I notice after booting, that the CPU pegs up to
100% and stays there. Using TaskInfo (utility to show Windows
processes/threads in detail), I see that it is the Explorer process, thread
is "OLEChannelWnd". Any idea of what this is all about and how to tame this
process?

Thanks in advance, TommyVee
