Default USB Devices not appearing as drives

Hi

I have 2 MP3 players and 1 digital camera - all of which happily connected
via a USB hub and appeared as removable disks when connected (F:, G: etc).
win98SE no longer seems to do this. Although the MP3 player still appears to
be recognised - (Looking in the System, Devices screen a USB R/W Device is
added - the icon changes to the egg timer)- but when I view My Computer-
there is no drive F: available. Again, if I disconnect the USB device, the
egg-timer appears and the driver is removed.

I have installed/removed the drivers several times. Can anyone help ?? I am
not an expert, so please keep it simple for me !

Thx in advance

I have the same problem. A USB hard drive shows up in the Device Manager.
But it doesn't show up in My Computer. I know it is formatted as NTFS and I
will have to reformat it as FAT, but I can't access it anywhere to do so.

Does anyone have any suggestions please?
