3. The CONTENT IE5 folder is meant to be located in

to use the search function to find it. (Location is always

3. Use Windows Explorer. Find Temporary Internet Folders on the tree.
Next, click the plus sign at the left of the folder icon for "Temporary
Internet Folders". The folder "CONTENTS.IE5" appears on the tree as
subfolder of "Temporary Internet Folders". It's an old, but interestant,
trick! If you use Windows 98, you can use the old Win3.1 WINFILE, that
shows the subfolders normally on "Temporary Internet Folders"* (Start
Run and enter "winfile" (without ")).

*because WINFILE doesn't support the "tricks" of Microsoft for hiding
folders, adding special menu items, etc.

When I had had my PC for a couple of years, I found a
folder called CONTENT IE5, which contained a bunch of
folders with names like 6HGF67YTH (for example only). They
were all chocka block full of temp files, each folder had
15-30Mb of temp files, It took me ages to delete the
contents of each folder. When trying to delete each of
these folders, I got a warning that these were system
folders etc. They each contain a hidden file which is
named "desktop". It seemed that every time I had chosen to
empty temp internet files, they had in fact been
transferred over to this CONTENT IE5 folder instead of
being deleted completely.

1. Is this so, and is it normal for these files not to be
totally deleted?
2. Would it be dangerous to delete the folders inside the
CONTENT IE5 folder.. the names appear to me to be random
combinations of numbers and letters OR is there a way for
me to bypass the files being sent there for later deletion?
