Default Windows Installer Problem - Santa gave me a new toy

I got a new iPod Nano from Santa. I just want to download iTunes. I am
getting a Microsoft error message that states " problem with Windows
Installer package. A DLL required for this install to complete could not be
run." I have Windows 98. How can I resolve this situation?? I am
frustrated and need to listen to my iPod. Thank you in advance,

The Nano states it requires a USB 2.0 connection. You may also not have the
correct Apple Installer for your OS version.

Please provide which version of 98 you have and which USB support, so
others might help you.

I don't believe that the iTunes software is compatible with Windows 98. Did
you check the Apple web site to ascertain this?

I don't believe that the iTunes software is compatible with Windows 98.

Requires 2000 or XP.
