Default 51/4" Floppy found

On my Windows ME PC Explorer shows the 31/2 inch A drive as a 51/4 inch.
I don't know when this started, I formatted a couple of weeks ago and it
was okay then.

Any ideas on how to fix it, I have tried uninstalling it in Hardware Manager
but when it is reloaded it is still the wrong one found and installed.

all help appreciated

Daniel

Confirm that it is designated as a 31/2 inch drive in your BIOS. Reset it,
if necessary.

Stupid me, why didn't I think of that.
You were right, it had changed in the CMOS
settings, all is fixed now, thanks for your
help.

regards

Daniel

You're welcome Daniel. It's easily done when you're worrying about other
things during a format/re-install. And thanks for the feedback - it's
appreciated.
