Is there a Powerpoint viewer for Windows 98 First Edition?

Hi,

I've been looking all over the place to find out the answer to my question
and I haven't had any luck. All I want to know is if there is a Powerpoint
Viewer for Windows 98 FIRST Edition and if so, where can I download it from.
I did download a viewer, but it said it wouldn't work with First Edition.
Friends keep sending me emails with .pps (I believe that's the extension),
but I can't view them and have to delete them. There has to be a version
of the Powerpoint viewer that works with Windows 98 First Edition.

If anyone answers this, (please, someone answer this), if you could leave a
link to the download, I'D BE VERY GRATEFUL!

Look for the PowerPoint Viewer for Office 97 at
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads - that will run on Windows 98.

I did it! I already downloaded it and tried using it for an email I had been
holding on to. It worked!

I knew there had to be a quick and simple answer to my problem, but I just
didn't know where to look. Thanks for the VERY SPEEDY help and sending me in
the right direction.

Although Richard already answered my plea, I want to THANK YOU as well for
your help too.

It's nice to know that this place is here for people like me (I know just

Although here is it May 20, 2007, and i am just now receiving those PPS
attachments that i cannot open, i just knew there would be an answer on
this site. I wish to thank all of you, one Cats/Debbie/one.. Rick, and one
Richard for all the information to help me. I am running 98 SE and now once
i have d/l the appropriate powerpoint,,,, i will be in business to open those
attachments. Thanking all of you....

That previous link directly from MS I gave back then is not working now
which was for the W98 First Edition, but keep in mind as we go forward I'm
not sure if that old PP97 Viewer will work 'if' your latest PP presentation
file is made with from PP 2007 versions - I just don't have an 07 one to
try it at the moment, but fwiw, here are other links to download the old PP
97 viewer for W98 First Edition that will work for most previous PP
presentations, ymmv.

Searching google for the actual file named ppview97.exe comes up with many
many Non-MS links to get it, here is just a few of those links:
