unable to display language indicator on taskbar
My os is Win98, and I use MS Office97 SBE with Word97, and
my normal keyboard is English (United States 101). I installed a second keyboard language, Romanian, and checked the "enable indicator on taskbar", APPLY, OK. I closed the window, rebooted, but no language indicator on the taskbar. The second language works fine with left Shift+ALT, just no indicator. I tried this several times, removed the second language, rebooted, then reinstalled it with the "enable indicator.." checked and APPLY, OK , close, reboot, again. No help. The language installs and works fine, but no language indicator on taskbar. It is not like I cannot live with this situation, just that I have to type a few characters in Word to find out which keyboard language I am in. But the indicator would be nice. Any ideas anyone? Thanks to anyone who takes the time to read and consider this post. Bill Miller . |

Start - Run: msconfig
In the Startup tab, see if you can find "internat.exe". Check it if it's not checked. If it's not there at all, download the attached file "internat.txt" to a location on your computer (say c:\). Then Start -Run: regedit.exe c:\internat.txt. Confirm that you want to add the information to the registry and restart. (Alternatively you can add a shortcut to c:\windows\system\internat.exe to the StartUp folder in your Start Menu.) Hope this helps, Ivan "Bill Miller" wrote in message ...
