Disk boot failure message

Hi! Acck! My computer isn't starting up, instead it says
disk boot failure, insert system disk and press enter. I
tried putting in the windows 98 second edition cd but
nothing happened. Could someone please help me! Please,
please, please I have no money to get help at $50 / hr.

Identify the brand of hard drive, go to the drive maker's web site and
download their diagnostic software. It runs from a floppy disk and will
tell you the health of your hard drive. If the drive has failed, you will
have to replace it. If it is OK, then you will probably have to reinstall
W98.
