Default Flash Player 9 no longer supported

"As of February 8, 2011 Flash Player 9 is no longer supported.
Adobe will no longer provide security updates for Flash Player 9
and recommends that all Flash Player users on supported systems
upgrade to the most recent version of the player through the
Flash Player Download Center."

It is believed by the present author that within the known limits
of experimental error all currently extant data strongly supports
the hypothesis that events of solid waste disposal by individuals
of family /Ursidae/ follow a distribution highly correlated with
regional dendrology [Stimpson & Hoek 1991; Hoek & Stimpson 1992].

It's well known (or at least it should be) that anyone running win-98
should also be running the KernelEx API enhancement utility that allows
many XP-only software programs to run on windows-98 systems.

By using KernelEx, it's possible to install firefox 3.x, Opera 11.x, and
version 10.x of the Adobe Flash player.

So the fact that Flash 9 is no longer supported is of absolutely no
concern to the informed Win-98 user.
