SLow Me, Windows Me
I am running Me on my computer. a couple of weeks ago,
everything slowed down. It takes about 10 seconds for Control Panel or "My Computer" to come up. I have scanned for viruses with a few programs, and checked for spyware, yet my Computer is still taking forever. Any Ideas. |

When it slows down, punch Ctrl-Alt-Delete to see what's running in the background. Rick |

I have done that and the normal things that are always
running are. There are some new programs that I did not see until recently, and one program that used to be running is no longer there. The "new" programs are in Windows/systems. I have rebooted the Me cd, and this did nothing but remove ie6. -----Original Message----- Robert wrote: I am running Me on my computer. a couple of weeks ago, everything slowed down. Sounds like alot of work, that (though I personally had some problems with IE6, most people didn't) My advice is pretty well the same though... punch up the CloseProgram window and start removing tasks until (if) the slowdown err speeds up. How's SafeMode in terms of response speed? Rick -----Original Message----- Robert wrote: I am running Me on my computer. a couple of weeks ago, everything slowed down.
