Default Update from Windows 98 to Windows 98 SE

I have recently purchashed BT Broadband Basic to find
that the software wont load as I have Windows 98 and the
specification is a minimum of 98 SE. I have, or have tried
to download from the Microsoft site what I thought to be
the correct 'patch' for this upgrade which was 'Windows
98SE UHCD update' only to be told when I tried to load
this patch that "This update is not designed for your
version of windows" Can anyone help,Im new to all this and
am by no means IT Literate.BT dont wnat to know and I can
get an answer frrm The Microsoft Support e-mail.
Cheers Guys.

Microsoft does not make the Windows 98SE upgrade available for download. You
may find it on e-Bay or at the online computer software stores. The Retail
Full or Retail Upgrade versions will both upgrade your system. There was an
Update disk which might be cheaper but is hard to find. The OEM version was
designed for installation in a new system only and probably won't be usable
as an upgrade.
