Default USB Drive for Win 98 SE ?

My new HP USB flash drive, model v125w (version unknown, 2 or 3,HP does'nt
know or support) works well on main XP computer, but am having difficulties
with drivers for 98SE supplied at
http://www.technical-assistance.co.uk/kb/usbmsd98.php. They're not making it
possible for system to recognize the drive. BIOS of my backup 98se box shows
board supports usb v.2, so i'm guessing that there's a way to make the flash
drive functional.

Has anyone here had experience with these or other drivers that work with
flash drive, either version 2 or 3?
