"this internet shortcut cannot be opened because failed to run"
Please help me understand and fix this problem. When I
download a program from the net. (even sefextracting programs) I get this error message when I click on it and try to get it to run; "this internet shortcut cannot be opened because failed to run" I have ewindows ME. I am currently running netscape navagator. (I only recently had this problem) I have a corporate version of norton antivirus which is currently updated, I run spybot and adaware to keep spyware off of my computer. I was told that I might be missing a file in the internet folder group so then In an attempt to fix this problem I loaded internet explorer 6.0 which cannot see my internet provider Comcast. (I am running a wireless router Linksys). Netsace sees my provider but explorer cannot detect the lan settings. I am completely frustrated. Does anyone know of a fix besides droppingmy computer out of a window? |
