You're the luck one then - as many of the first-time visitors here have
problems with it (or at least with LiveUpdate - which is essential for the good operation of the virus scanner [at least for the newbie]) -- Noel Paton (MS-MVP 2002-2005, Windows) Nil Carborundum Illegitemi http://www.btinternet.com/~winnoel/millsrpch.htm http://tinyurl.com/6oztj Please read http://dts-l.org/goodpost.htm on how to post messages to NG's "E. Granted, the drive was over four years old and had run past its warranty period, but I've heard a couple of rumors that this program is not good to run with ME. Is it okay to run with ME, or should I get something else instead? I sure don't want to go through another hard-drive crash. Much appreciate any and all opinions on this. Thanks!!! |

Okay, I've got a little more data on the problem I've been having. Upon
seeing the Control Panel screen, I get the following error message in a little window in the middle of the screen: "Runtime error 216 at 00005D88" I can click "OK," and it goes away. A friend at work recommends Trend Micro 2004 as a firewall, anti-virus and spam filter. Any comments on this? Many thanks, y'all!!!!! Matt J. McCullar |
