Default Free disk Space Reported Error

Randomly, my system locks up. Upon reboot, EVERY TIME it
says that "reported free disk space is in error".

I have had this same prob. a few years ago on another
machine, but don't recall what the cause was.

Anybody have any ideas or recommendations?

The cause is the improper shutdowns - that's why you get the error. To
solve the error message, find out why your system is locking up and that
will solve the other problem.

Machine lockups are often caused by bad RAM or perhaps overheating. Check
that all fans are working and that the interior of the case is free of dust.
Otherwise, check for a pattern in the lockups - are they associated with a
particular application or when you carry out a particular operation?
