File Types tab
Hi
I don't know how this happened but last time I wanted to edit a file-association I went looking in the usual place (Folder Options) and the File Types tab is no longer there. Does anyone know how this could have happened (missing file, missing or incorrect registry key, corruption in some .ini file, etc)? I know I can get round it by editing the registry direct, but I really would like to get the File Types tab back. Thanks |

File Types tab
Go to Start/Run, type this command:
regsvr32.exe /i shdoc401.dll and hit enter. It takes a few seconds to complete. Reboot and check for the tab (note: reboots required after the next two also). If no help, go to control panel, add-remove, highlight IE5.5/6 (whichever you have), click remove, select the repair option. If no good, try reinstalling IE5.5/6. -- Regards Ron Badour, MS MVP for W98 Tips: http://home.satx.rr.com/badour Knowledge Base Info: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?pr=kbinfo "Confused" wrote in message k...
