USB Flash driver probs
I thought it was specific to one machine, esp when I got the SuperTalentFlash.com driver to work correctly on a seconf W98 machine. Except a few days later the second w98 machine didn't recognise the USB flash drive any more. But I had the SuperTalentFlash working fine for two years. Before it I had bought another one and THAT never worked. Mind you they BOTH worked on XP machines. What gives? Any tricks for dealing with these problems? If XP knows all USB drives fine, why can't someone make a universal W98 driver that always works? It doesn't make sence that you need multiple dirvers on w98 and no driver at all in xp. - = - Vasos-Peter John Panagiotopoulos II, Columbia'81+, Bio$trategist BachMozart ReaganQuayle EvrytanoKastorian http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/vjp2/vasos.htm ---{Nothing herein constitutes advice. Wadda you folks think about this post on the net: http://help.lockergnome.com/lofivers...hp/t22753.html Another way of getting USB access on w98 (any) is by installing Iomega's zipdrive software, even if you don't have/use this hardware. Strangely (...), this installation software is able to force usb support on most win systems (98, nt4, me, 2k). When I 'upgrade' an older system, this package is on my tools cd. - = - Vasos-Peter John Panagiotopoulos II, Columbia'81+, Bio$trategist BachMozart ReaganQuayle EvrytanoKastorian http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/vjp2/vasos.htm ---{Nothing herein constitutes advice.
