MSGSRV 32 error in setup
While installing Windows 98; after the computer has rebooted I type in the
Key and shortly after that error MSGSRA 32 comes up - message is " An error has occured in your program. To keep working anyway click ignore & save your work in a new file. To quite this program, click close. You will loose information you enetered since your last save. Then there is the choice to either close or ignore. I have put in another hard drive incase there was an error on the HDD. Any suggestions - I would be grateful of assistance. -- With thanks Margy South AFrica |

Open the case and remove and reseat the memory modules. If this doesn't
help, try running setup with the "/c" switch. setup /c Ben "Margy" wrote in message ... MSGSRV 32 error in setup
Thanks Ben so much for your input. On this particular machine it did not work
- I think it is time to retire this little old computer. However I will certainly remember your advise especially the /c. If you do come back here again, I would really appreciate you telling me what /c is. -- Many thanks, Margy, Durban, South Afica "Ben Myers" wrote: Open the case and remove and reseat the memory modules. MSGSRV 32 error in setup
The "/c" switch tells setup to run without using its disk caching software.
Try removing unnecessary peripherals, like sound and network cards. Also, go into the BIOS setup and make sure that boot virus detection is disabled. Be sure to save any changes when exiting.
