Default How do I add a login password that can NOT be defeated by just clicking on "exit" in the logon box?

Hello and thanks for the help,

How do I add a login password that can NOT be defeated by just clicking on
"exit" in the logon box?

I don't want anyone accessing my machine without first typing in the
password. Unfortunately, any logon password that I've created can be easily
defeated by just clicking on Exit at the logon box.

For example:
I have added the user "john doe".
When I reboot, the login box appears with the name "john doe".
If I enter his correct password, the machine successfully logs in.
If I enter an incorrect password, the machine blocks the login.
If I click on Exit, the machine logs in!!!!

A password is useless if it can be defeated by just clicking on Exit!

I've tried:
Start-Settings-Control Panel-Network-Windows Logon
Start-Settings-Control Panel-Network-Microsoft Family Logon
Start-Settings-Control Panel-Passwords-User Profile-All users of this
computer use the same preference and desktop settings.

So how do I add a login password that can NOT be defeated by just clicking
on "exit" in the logon box?

thanks,
DG

Use a BIOS password - see your manual for details

An alternative to Noel's suggestion of setting your BIOS password, you could
check-out Doug Knox's "Secure Your Computer" free utility at the following
URL:-
http://www.dougknox.com/security/validated.htm

WARNING!! Be sure to read his recommendation!!
