Default Hard drive help

Hi guys I would like to start off by saying you guys have been so helpful and
I have learned alot but I will post again what I would like to do and if I
can get a walk through I would appreciate it. I have an old computer with a
small hard drive so I want to replace with a bigger one but the problem I
have is I don't have the drivers for everything on the old computer, I do
have the second hard drive installed as a slave but the case is not made for
two hard drives so I want to get rid of the old one, so what I want to do is:

1) format new hard, (used one)
2) copy info on old drive
3) put info on new drive
4) remove old drive
5) install new drive properly
6) turn on for my little girl to play "Stewart Little"

Once again I like to thank everybody that helped up to now, oh yeah
Stephanie says thank you too.

1 Download and install maxblast(maxtor) or Digital Lifeguard(western
Digital) both utilities work exellently with other manufacturers drives as
well, and can break the drive size barriers of older motherboards
2. power off, physically install drive ensuring jumpers etc are set right
for cable positions (Use cable select, its easiest)
3. reboot start maxblast for windows or datalifeguard for windows
4. follow the prompts (its easy)
5. power off
6. take out old drive (if you want or leave it as second just swap data
cables)
7 reboot use new drive like it was always there

No, both the maxtor and western digital software packages include fdisk-ing
formatting and really fast drive duplicator utility, and run from windows,
no command lines to remember
