INVALID SYSTEM DISK ERROR
= When I boot my computer i recieve the following errors.
= = "Searching for boot record from IDE-0...OK = = INVALID SYSTEM DISK = = REPLACE THE DISK, AND THEN PRESS ANY KEY." = = how can i solve this problem anyone. thanks More than likely the hard drive has been damaged somehow - check with diagnostic software and BIOS settings as suggested by others. Also check the data cable (the ribbon cable) at both ends. I had one years ago which the hard drive end required pliers to pull off but the controller end was so loose it would make or break contact when I breathed. (Well, not literally!) Replacing the cable solved the problem. Touch chassis ground frequently when working inside the case. - ¯ barry.martinþATþthesafebbs.zeppole.com ® * I don't have a big ego, I'm way too cool for that. --- þ RoseReader 2.52á P003186 þ The Safe BBS þ Bettendorf, IA 563-359-1971 --- þ RIMEGate(tm)/RGXMod V1.13 at BBSWORLD * |
