Default EMM 386 reported missing

Hi guys,

Recently during boot-up I have started getting the report that "Emm386
not installed" and something to do with a page. Then there is a slight
pause before it gets loaded.

Looking at the Windows directory, EMM386 is defintely there and it
has the right path in Config.sys.

So why the problem, do you think?

Any ideas?

Go to the MS Knowledge Base (see my signature) and search on: "Emm386 not
installed" Don't know if the info listed there will help or not.

Hi,

According to the MS article it should only report this when it starts
up if the /verbose switch is used.

Can this switch be removed?

Thanks!

EMM386 is not required to run Windows. Just remove it from CONFIG.SYS.
